Two of my poems are up in lights at Blackpool Illuminations this year – thanks to my publisher Alec at Knives Forks and Spoons Press.
Each year, Alec organises poetry from KFS titles to be displayed at Blackpool’s Illuminations. But the poems in my forthcoming book, Atha, were too long for the light box. So I did a little bit of condensery by collaging fragmented quotes from various texts in the book into two new eight-line poems. Then Alec drafted them up for display and Blackpool Council did the magic to make them real.
If you’re around Blackpool this autumn my poems, and all the KFS poems, will be on display just south of Bispham Tram Station until 4 November.
