Earth Keepers – a poem

[how] we live

every day

as

if

in a state

of hypnosis

d[r]ied & turned

to ex/cess

carry [fear]

within

– egocentrism –

&                     so-called        progress

kills

people

are lost

separate

if heart

&

mind

are [not]

connected

[nothing]

is        full

wisdom

[doesn’t] exist

‘This

is

the changing’

hot coals &

ember sparks

like

stars

the power to have

dreams [&] visions

is the human

gift

[i] carry

within [me]

[work[] w/ the power

of

[my]

ancestors

die/d & turn/ed

to earth

follow the stories &

trust

soft wrinkle/d

skin

‘This’ is           [the] changing

how /we live

:

medicine people

[we] don’t

[carry] fear

{not separate

as if in  state

of [ex/cess ego. \centric \

[we] me[e]t in

spirit

with/in

dream &

vision

turn to

earth

soft

wrinkle

hungry

stomach

full

of         heart &

mind

trust

hot coals

&

[e]mber sparks

not

separate the

healing

is for               all

[the] keepers of

the earth

.

this is

how we live

every day

is the

changing

is [a]

ceremony
