Full Moon Winter Solstice, 21-23 December 2018
This is no ordinary Winter Solstice (Celtic/Pagan: Yule). During the three day period from sunrise on 21 December to sunset on 23 December 2018, the sun will rise and set at its most southerly point on the horizon, marking the shortest days in the northern hemisphere. Over the exact same three day period, the moon will be at its fullest in the sky, riding the night for more hours than the sun is up during the day.
This is an invitation. A completely new consciousness is now entering the earth’s vibration, resonating at higher frequencies than we have ever known. It’s time to throw off the old paradigms and embrace the new. It’s a call to open up our hearts, our minds, our bodies – even down to the cellular and subatomic levels – and live the next adventure with every breath of our being.
These new vibrations will be resonating with us until the next such alignment at the winter solstice in 2094. This is a time of rebirth.

Notes:
New Lunar Baedekerwrites through various of Mina Loy’s writings from The Lost Lunar Beadeker(ed. Roger Conover, Carcanet: 1997) collaged with listened-to lyrics from various tracks by David Bowie. The poem [re]imagines the utopian possibilities projected onto the moon and other sites of cosmic consciousness in the works of both Loy & Bowie. Also included in the collage is vocabulary gathered from The Guardian’s article ‘Unicorns and Selfies at Stonehenge’ (22 December 2017: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/gallery/2017/dec/22/unicorns-selfies-winter-solstice-stonehenge-in-pictures); ‘Cis and Trans rights: two sides of the same coin’, online at Verso (https://www.versobooks.com/blogs/3667-cis-and-trans-rights-two-sides-of-the-same-coin); and information on CBD from the Brighton Botanicals website (https://www.brightonbotanicals.co.uk).
