Crumbling Roots & Cracking Foundations

Palm Sunday, 14 April 2019: Waxing Moon in Leo

I find myself in Rome, literally standing on the foundations of western civilisation and the roots of our current paradigm of consciousness. Walking around ancient cobbled streets in my barefoot shoes (not necessarily recommended!) getting my own roots as close as they can be to those larger, deeper, older roots. With a lingering sense of uncertainty and discomfort about this. There’s little I want to celebrate or connect with in this stony Imperial patriarchy.

Two days before, on the Friday before Good Friday, Joe & I had walked the bounds of the Vatican – circling the perimeter on the outside, unwilling to queue or pay to go in. Again uneasy.

But in my morning meditations in Rome something else was happening.

The day after our Vatican walk I clearly visioned my spiritual roots reaching down into the Vatican vaults and connecting with Mary Magdalene’s Book of Love – a book of spiritual texts yet to be revealed – and sensed its awakening energy, its yearning to be received into the light of this material world. It will not be long now before the book completes its journey to the surface, from the underworld where it’s been hidden for two millennia. Its teachings rising from the deep unconscious into the light of consciousness on this earth.

Sunday morning, Palm Sunday – the day marking Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem – my meditation showed cracks and fissures appearing and spreading through the concrete and stone of the ancient Roman structures. These structures are the foundation upon which our current structures of thought and consciousness are built. As the cracks spread they filled with golden light, like nectar or honey.

Later that evening, walking the stones of the Colosseum during a lightning storm, I began to feel the reality of that foundational paradigm shift. I spoke aloud two alchemical poems in a ritual designed to help awaken the new consciousness from the broken foundations of the old: ‘[un]manifest.o’ and ‘Earth Keepers’.

As the storm eased, a rainbow – and then a double rainbow! – appeared in the sky above the Colosseo, remaining for around five minutes.

The New Paradigm has Awoken.
